Site Technology & Developer Info

This website is built on .NET 9 using the ASP.NET Core MVC framework. It follows a clean, layered architecture that prioritizes maintainability, performance, and security. The application is hosted on Microsoft Azure via Azure Web Apps, providing scalable infrastructure, automated deployment pipelines, and integrated diagnostics.

Data is managed through a cloud-based Azure SQL Server database, accessed via Entity Framework Core for efficient ORM mapping and query optimization. Sensitive configuration values are encrypted at rest and surfaced through environment-aware logic. Session-based authentication ensures secure access to admin tooling, while custom logging via ILoggerProvider supports asynchronous writes and environment-specific visibility.

The site’s front-end is styled with Bootstrap 5, enabling a clean, mobile-first layout that adapts seamlessly across devices. Components such as modals, collapsible panels, and responsive grids are used to enhance usability and visual clarity. The layout is fully responsive, with breakpoints and spacing tuned for both desktop and mobile experiences. Interactive elements like the gallery and access-controlled sections are built with progressive enhancement in mind, ensuring graceful fallback and accessibility.

For transactional email, the site integrates with Mailgun via its REST API. Contact form submissions are securely processed and dispatched through a dedicated service layer, ensuring reliable delivery, spam filtering, and full traceability. The email logic is modular and testable, making it easy to extend or swap providers in the future.
